Christmas delivery cut-offs
The last day your customer can order and still have it under the tree. We print in Brisbane and post with Australia Post, so these are our dates, not just theirs.
The short version
Standard post: order by Monday 14 December. Express: order by Wednesday 16 December. Western Australia and the Northern Territory need to be earlier on standard, so check the table below.
Our last production day is Tuesday 22 December. Nothing is printed after that, and we are back at it in the new year.
Around Australia
Standard post. Order by the date in the middle column and we will have it printed, packed and lodged on the day in the last one.
| Going to | Order by | We lodge it |
|---|---|---|
| Queensland | Wed 16 Dec | Tue 22 Dec |
| NSW, ACT, Victoria, South Australia | Tue 15 Dec | Mon 21 Dec |
| Tasmania | Mon 14 Dec | Fri 18 Dec |
| Western Australia | Fri 11 Dec | Thu 17 Dec |
| Northern Territory | Tue 8 Dec | Mon 14 Dec |
Express is Wednesday 16 December wherever it is going. Australia Post would take an express parcel a day later than that, but we stop printing on Tuesday 22 December, so our own last production day is what sets it.
Overseas
Posting overseas takes a lot longer at this time of year, so these dates are much earlier.
| Going to | Order by, standard | Order by, express |
|---|---|---|
| New Zealand | Thu 3 Dec | Wed 9 Dec |
| United States, Canada | Tue 1 Dec | Mon 7 Dec |
| United Kingdom, Europe | Mon 7 Dec | Wed 9 Dec |
Worth knowing
These are the dates Australia Post publishes as a guide, with our printing time taken off the front. December is their busiest month and a parcel can still run late, so if something absolutely has to arrive, order earlier than the date here and use express.
An order has to be paid by the cut-off, not just placed. If a card declines and the order sits on hold, the clock does not start until it goes through.
