When do I need to order by for Christmas?
Standard post by Monday 14 December, express by Wednesday 16 December. Western Australia and the Northern Territory need to be earlier on standard, and overseas is a lot earlier again. Our last production day is Tuesday 22 December. See every cut-off date
What happens to orders placed after the cut-off?
They are still printed and posted, they just won't be there by Christmas. We print up to Tuesday 22 December and pick up again in the new year.
Getting started
Do I need to pay anything to start?
No. Installing Colouroo is free and there's no monthly fee. You only pay when one of your customers places an order.
Which stores does Colouroo work with?
Shopify. Colouroo installs as a Shopify app and works inside your Shopify admin.
Can I order a sample?
Yes, straight from the app. Open Samples, pick any colours and sizes from your own designs, and they come to you at the same cost price a customer order would be. You can mix several designs into one order and only pay postage once.
I already sell this product. Can Colouroo just print it?
Yes. On a design's Publish tab, choose "Link to a product I already sell" instead of publishing a new one. You match your existing variants to the colours and sizes, and orders on them come to us. We never touch your product: the photos, description, price, stock and reviews all stay exactly as they are, and you can unlink at any time.
Pricing and billing
When am I charged?
After your customer orders and your approval window passes (straight away, 1 hour or 24 hours, you choose). We charge the card saved in the app for the product, prints and postage.
Is GST included?
On orders going to an Australian address, yes: every price includes GST and each charge comes with a tax invoice. An order going overseas is a GST-free export, so no GST is added to it and the invoice says so.
What currency do you charge in?
Australian dollars, always, whatever currency your own store sells in.
What if my card is declined?
The order is put on hold and won't be printed. Update your card in the app and held orders are retried automatically.
Why does a black tee cost the same as a white one?
We print with DTF (direct to film), which lays down full colour with a white base on any garment. The work is the same, so the price is too.
Printing and shipping
Where are orders printed?
In our workshop in Brisbane, Queensland. Every order, wherever it is going.
How long does it take?
Orders are usually printed within 3 business days of payment, then posted. Business days are Monday to Friday in Brisbane and we skip Queensland public holidays, so a long weekend pushes the date out. Standard post is 3 to 7 business days, express is 1 to 3 business days.
Do you ship outside Australia?
Yes. New Zealand is $24.95 for the first item plus $6.00 each extra (6 to 12 business days), and the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Europe are $39.95 plus $9.00 each extra (10 to 20 business days). Everything is posted from Brisbane, so overseas parcels take a good deal longer than local ones. Any duty or import tax in the destination country is your customer's to pay, and overseas orders are GST free.
Is it branded as Colouroo?
No. Orders ship without Colouroo marketing, and the shipping and tracking emails come from your Shopify store. The packing slip in the parcel carries your store name and website, not ours.
Does the print get bigger on bigger sizes?
No. The print size stays the same across every garment size, so an XS and a 5XL get the same size design.
What file should I upload?
A PNG with a transparent background, ideally 300 DPI at the size you want it printed.
Orders and returns
Can I cancel an order?
Yes, while it is still inside your approval window or sitting unpaid: cancel it in Shopify and nothing is charged or printed. Once it has been paid and sent to the press it is made to order, so it can't be cancelled.
What if something arrives damaged or misprinted?
